Carlos Mencia returns for his fourth season, and since it occurs during a Presidential Election year, anyone who knows his typical schtick, should know what his focus is this season.

Interestingly enough, while his most recent standup act, Performance Enhanced gives a very definite slant towards Obama, Mind of Mencia: Season Four actually tends to be fairly unbiased as Mencia makes fun of both conservatives and liberals equally.

Carlos also touches on a few other tried and true topics like immigration and racism in general. Though I have to say, I enjoyed his cartoon shorts that he introduces this year, "The Adventures of Carlitos" that supposedly shows Mencia's early life growing up a "beaner in America."

For the July 4th episode, Carlos also talks about all the things he loves about America, like sassy black women and cougars (as in older women going after younger guys, not the member of the cat family). It's also this episode where Mencia recognizes the death of George Carlin in his own eulogy to the man that inspired his particular brand of comedy.

Other skits in the series have Carlos creating a racial theme park to rid white people of all their guilt, as well as a group of handicapped superheroes and the fact that the cocaine of the future will be rice.

While most of Mencia's work rarely makes me laugh out loud, I do find a lot of his stuff amusing and poignant at least. Season Four of Mind of Mencia isn't all that different. If you've been following the show or Carlos Mencia himself, then you should definitely look into this DVD set. Thankfully, since it is a skit show, you don't need to know what happened in the past seasons to follow this one (not too much, there is a reference to a previous season at one point, but they will catch you up).
