"The Booty Prize" is almost a certainty for the platoon when Gomer gets his foot caught while polishing the lead boot. You'll feel a sense of nostalgia with "Flower Power" (Rob Reiner, Leigh French) and "Show Time with Sgt. Carol" (Carol Burnett). There's a return to Hollywood in "Just Move Your Lips. Sergeant," "All You Need is One Good Break" (George Fenneman); "A Marriage of Convenience" (Nita Talbot, Jesse White); and "A Star is Not Born" (Sheldon Leonard, Hamilton Camp, Jamie Farr and Barry Williams).
Gomer's effervescent lovelife still sparkles because of girlfriend Lou Ann Poovey (Joyce Jameson) in "Return of Monroe," "A Tattoo for Gomer" (Ned Glass), and "Win a Date" is especially hilarious when Vince's girl, Bunny (Barbara Stuart) and Lou Ann jealously watch boyfriends Vince and Gomer appear on a television dating show. "Marriage Sgt. Carter Style," "Dynamite Diner," and "Freddy's Friendly Computer" showcase the fabulous twosomes of Vince and Bunny, and Gomer and Lou Ann.
Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C.: The Final Season: has a sentimental and sympathetic ending with "Goodbye Camp Henderson, Hello Sgt. Carter" that finds our benevolent private requesting a transfer to another base so as not to annoy his beloved sergeant any more. Gomer Pyle has the ability to bring a tear to your eye or a dance in your heart. The series is enjoyment for the whole family as Gomer joyously and innocently winds his way into your hearts with his overwhelming and sincere desire to please.
