Sabrina the Teenage Witch: The Fifth Season features a lot of changes. Not only did Sabrina's reveal to Harvey that she is a witch cause their relationship to be over, but she also starts her first year of college (and the show's first year on The WB as opposed to ABC, where it previously aired).

While there are quite a few changes in the show, there are still many things that stay the same. Even though Sabrina has moved out to a place closer to her new college, she still visits her Aunts quite often, and they have each taken up a job that keeps them close to her. Zelda (Beth Broderick) has taken up a teaching position at the Physics Department, while Hilda (Caroline Rhea) bought the coffee house that Sabrina works at. Also staying the same is Salem (Nick Bakay) and his various wild antics, and Josh (David Lascher), Sabrina's manager who has feelings for our favorite teenage witch. Unfortunately for Josh, even though Harvey (Nate Richert) is out of the picture (though he makes a couple of cameos this season), Sabrina feels there is too much history between she and Josh to start a fresh relationship with him.

This season introduces three new characters as Sabrina's new college house/roommates. Sharing Sabrina's new room is Roxie (Soleil Moon Frye, that's right Punky Brewster herself), an environmentally conscious girl who isn't afraid to speak up and tends to get annoyed by Sabrina's perkiness. Roxie is joined by Miles (Trevor Lissauer) and Morgan (Elisa Donovan from the film Clueless). Miles is a geek who loves anything science fiction and paranormal (in fact, there are a few times when he suspects something odd about Sabrina), while Morgan is a selfish socialite upperclassman always looking for the next party.

As the season progresses, not only does Sabrina have to get used to being on her own, but she has to work harder to keep her magical secret hidden and in a typical Sabrina fashion, this becomes hard as rain clouds appear over her head, she encounters a guy claiming to be a witch, but is really head of a cult, and Sabrina's evil twin shows back up. Also happening this season is a budding relationship between Josh and Morgan (much to Sabrina's eventual chagrin when she realizes she does have feelings for the guy) and a regularly referenced crush that Miles develops for Zelda.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch: The Fifth Season has a different feel to it, mainly because of the change of setting and the fact that she is no longer a "witch in training." But the more things change, the more they stay the same. Even though many characters from the first four seasons are gone, the new arrivals fill in the gaps pretty well and continue to make the show enjoyable.
