Extreme Movie is unusual in that most of the film is comprised of short, disconnected skits that have nothing to do with each other (typically separated by static as if changing channels on a TV). But there are a couple of plots that actually span the whole movie and are returned to several times; the main one being Mike's (Ryan Pinkston) pursuit of a girl in his sex-ed class, and the many embarrassing situations that ensue.
Besides Mike's exploits, the movie will show everything from characters like Chuck (Frankie Muniz) hooking up with a girl who likes to keep taking things to the next level (which ultimately involves some strange bedroom antics), to an ad for a anti-Viagra that causes those embarrassing male-teenage moments to not happen, while another skit deals with a guy who has a tease of a girlfriend and has to heed the warnings of the muppet Blue Bally.
But that's not all. One segment involves a guy who apparently has an Abraham Lincoln fetish, another whose girlfriend finally feels comfortable to break wind in front of him (but gets a little too comfortable), and a boy who buys a sex toy, but it accuses him of cheating on it when he finally gets a girlfriend. And then, of course, there is the Weird Science knock-off where something goes wrong with the computer and the woman that comes out is definitely not what they were hoping for.
Needless to say, this isn't a family-friendly film. Extreme Movie comes from the minds of several SNL members (Will Forte, Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone), and has quite a few funny moments - though most are simply awkward. I have to say though, I enjoyed the song-and-dance scene towards the end of the film "Accidentally, Incidentally, Unintentionally Making Porn." This is not a movie for everyone, and quite frankly, it isn't for most people out there. If you are a fan of the rising "raunch comedy" sub-genre, then you might want to check out this film, but it isn't for the weak-hearted.
