Blood: The Last Vampire takes place in Tokyo in 1970, near an army base. General Mckee (Larry Lamb) is in charge of this specific base. The General's daughter, Alice (Allison Miller), isn't so well behaved. She sneaks out at night and just generally gets into trouble. But she's a good kid at heart. When she stays late for fencing practice with two other girls, girls that hate her, Alice is in for a shock. The "girls" are trying to kill her. Saya (Gianna Jun) just happens to be at school late looking for those very same girls. See, Saya isn't a normal school girl. She's at the school to hunt out demons and kill them, even though she herself is a demon, a vampire of sorts, as well. The only difference is that Saya has a human soul. Saya locks Alice out of the gym and kills the two girls. Of course, they weren't really girls, but were demons pretending to be. Alice doesn't know all of this, though. She just think her new classmate killed two of her other classmates.
Determined to find out what's going on, Alice sneaks out again and goes to a bar to find the coach that left her there with the girls. What she finds is a bar full of demons and a world of trouble for her. Luckily, Saya comes to Alice's aid once again. From here on out, Alice's life is never going to be the same, but then neither is Saya's. Saya is on a quest to find the most powerful demon out there, Onigen (Koyuki). Onigen killed her father, and Saya wants revenge. The thing is Onigen is very powerful. She can make a human's head explode just by a slight move of her hand. She's also got several loyal followers who are going to make Saya's task even more difficult.
As Saya says, "I don't investigate, I kill." This makes the organization she's supposed to be working with, the Council, really nervous. They should be helping her find Onigen, but only if she plays by their rules. Saya's not very good with rules, maybe that's why she and Alice can become friends. As it is, Saya's going to have to find out who she can really trust, what is really real, and still defeat the most powerful demon on the earth. Can she do it all? You'll just have to watch to find out!
If the movie's not enough action for you, there are two special features that are wonderful to watch! Personally, I really liked the behind the stunts featurette. It's just amazing to see how they pulled off all the stunts in the movie, and believe me, there are a lot of stunts here!
