He starts off his show talking about returning to El Paso for this live performance, but it isn't long before he starts doing impressions and talks about his first car (given to him by Nickelodeon) and some fun he had with his idol, Paul Rodriguez. He then expands his Five Levels of Fatness to not only include Big, Healthy, Husky, Fluffy and DAMN, but also "Oh Hell No!!", which would be when you are so big, people don't even want to get in an elevator with you.
While not all of I'm Not Fat... I'm Fluffy is new material (there is talk about Disneyland late in the show that has been refined, but still sounds familiar), a lot of the show's material focuses around his girlfriend and her son, little Frankie. He tells stories about going to the arcade with Frankie and watching kids play DDR, or stories about bringing home a ton of chocolate cakes after a show, and even a couple about the kid's discovery of late-night Cinemax.
Gabriel Iglesias: I'm Not Fat... I'm Fluffy has a couple of special features, but while they are interesting, there isn't a whole lot of added value here, but that doesn't mean the stand-up itself doesn't make the DVD worth the price tag by any means. The DVD includes a section that was taken out of the show, as well as some warm-up acts from some of "Fluffy's Friends." I didn't really find these two other comics all that funny, but I guess they were included because they were a part of the night's performances. The other bonus feature is a Q&A session the audience had with Iglesias after the show, and this does a lot to show just how down-to-earth the man still is, which he insists is the case during the show itself.
I'm Not Fat... I'm Fluffy really is about more of what Gabriel Iglesias does best and it works for him oh so well. He is a solid comic that everyone should enjoy -- it is even fairly family-friendly as he doesn't really curse, and any more base topics are well skirted to make it fairly safe for younger viewers to come out untainted.
