In this hour-long Comedy Central Presents show called Dane Cook: ISolated INcident (and no, the first 2 letters being capitalized aren't a typo, but are Dane's attempt to be "clever" - Dane Cook IS IN - hahaha... not) and his comedy skits here run the gamut from politics to racism to sex and how big his johnson is, all the way to his feelings on the deaths of his parents. While I did snicker at a few of them, I just find his humor to be more vile than anything else.
His bit on self assassination was somewhat funny, but honestly, the rest of it was utterly forgettable. I'm not really sure why he needs to talk about the size of his genitals all the time, but my guess is if you have to talk about it constantly, chances are there's nothing really to talk about. Ahem. He also has this odd habit of imitating his various girlfriends with a serious lisp. Do all of the women he dates have speech impediments?
If you are easily offended, this is not the show for you. As anyone who knows me can tell you, I am not a lightweight when it comes to raunch and I'm not easily offended, but I found his humour to be insulting to women and pretty damn disgusting and quite plainly, not really that funny. He does one skit about a "slut" he dated and he proceeds to go into way too much detail about their twisted sexual practices and quite frankly, I never wanted to know that.
As for special features, there are two contained on the DVD. The first is called 30 Premeditated Acts where Dane talks about the origins of each of his comedy skits and it clocks in at an hour long. I think this could have lasted 1 minute where Dane just says he steals most of his funny routines from other, better comics, but that's not what you have here. The other special feature is an interview with Dane where he talks about how he has changed over the last two years since losing both of his parents and such. However, when you watch the other special feature and see clips from a particular performance that they've entitled "The Cringe Night" where Dane just seems pissed off and cruelly rips into one audience member after another, I don't see a changed man. I still see the same talentless hack who is so arrogant and pompous that it blows my mind - I guess I fall under the skit category he calls "Haters." This DVD is only recommended for fans of Dane Cook and my God, I don't know why, but they are out there. If you don't like the man, this won't change your point of you, but if you do and you've already seen this performance, you might want to check out the DVD if only for the special features.
