Desperate Housewives: The Complete Sixth Season - The All Mighty Edition begins with Mike (James Denton) and Susan (Teri Hatcher) getting back together following MJ's dramatic kidnapping at the end of last season. The trauma brings the pair back together and they get married as the season opens, leaving Katherine (Dana Delaney) devastated, having lost Mike. She does what she can to first sabotage their wedding and then their relationship, eventually having a nervous breakdown and finding herself in the looney bin for a brief stint.

Bree (Marcia Cross) and Karl (Richard Burgi) are still carrying on their affair while waiting for Bree's divorce to come through. When Karl decides to announce their relationship to the neighborhood via a plane-driven banner at the Christmas extravaganza, the plane crashes and Karl is killed and Orson (Kyle Maclachlan) is injured, ending up in a wheelchair. Bree is forced to rethink her life and cares for Orson as he heals. A strange young man named Sam (Sam Page) soon enters her life and she hires him to assist her in the catering business. He is soon so ingrained into the business that he has made himself indispensable. She soon learns that he is actually her widowed husband Rex's illegitimate son and she strives to make up for Rex's mistreatment of him, only for him to turn around and blackmail her about her son Andrew's (Shawn Pyform) car accident many years before, resulting in Carlos' mother's death. Sam forces her to sign over the business to him in exchange for keeping Andrew out of jail and Orson leaves Bree, since she sent him to jail in a very similar situation.

Following Karl's death, he wills his secret side business, a strip club called Double D, to his ex, Susan. Susan meets a sweet stripper named Robin (Julie Benz, Dexter) and encourages her to do more with her life. When Robin quits her job at the club, Susan gets her a job as a teaching assistant, but her previous profession doesn't fly with the school's administration. So Robin has no job and no place to live, so Susan and Mike offer to let her stay there for a bit, but that gets awkward quickly. Long story short, Robin ends up moving in with Katherine, the other neighborhood outcast, as a roommate, but the two become a good bit more. Katherine, confused by her feelings for Robin, ends up leaving Fairview with Robin by her side, off to explore their new relationship.

New to the neighborhood are Angie (Drea de Matteo) and Nick (Jeffrey Nordling) Bolen and their son Danny (Beau Mirchoff). They are very mysterious and we discover that they are on the run from the FBI for Angie's "terroristic" acts as a peace-loving youth that cost a man his life. Strangely enough, not long after the family comes to town, young women start being strangled, one of which is Julie (Andrea Bowen), Susan's daughter. She survives the attack, only to later reveal that she had been carrying on an affair with Nick, although Danny had been pursuing her. When the mystery is solved as to who the serial killer truly is, everyone in the town will be shocked.

Tom (Doug Savant) and Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman) have their trying times as Lynette discovers she is pregnant with twins, just as she is promoted to Vice President by Carlos (Ricardo Chavira). She hides her pregnancy for quite some time, but when Carlos finds out about the pregnancy and the fact that she hid it from him, he makes things very difficult for her, forcing her to sue him. All is forgiven, however, when Lynette saves Celia's life when the earlier-mentioned plane narrowly misses her, but Lynette loses one of the babies, following an injury from the plane crash.

Tom and Lynette's problems don't end there. When son Preston arrives home from Europe, he has a gold-digging Russian fiancée in tow. Although Lynette does her best to stop the impending wedding, Irina eventually shows her true colors and Preston discovers the ugly truth about her. She later falls victim to the Fairview Strangler.

Lastly, Gabby (Eva Longoria Parker) gets quite a surprise when Carlos' rebellious 16-year-old niece, Ana (Maiara Walsh), comes to live with them and she's a bombshell, giving now-dowdy Gabby a run for her money. Even more shocking is the fact that John Rowland (Jesse Metcalf) has returned to Fairview, and he now owns a restaurant. Gabby decides to get her groove back, seeing her old lover, and looks glamorous once again. She becomes friends with Angie, even flying with her to New York to help her sort out her problems when Angie's past comes knocking on her door.

The season wraps with Mike and Susan having financial issues and having to move off the lane, with their agent renting their house to a "nice man" who turns out to be the husband of narrator, Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong) and promises a very interesting Seventh Season.

Desperate Housewives: The Complete Sixth Season - The All Mighty Edition is quite a rollercoaster ride of deception, intrigue and drama and never disappoints. Included with this release are a nice selection of special features including some deleted scenes and bloopers, a really good featurette on how the actors prepare for their roles, a grouping of Marc Cherry's favorite scenes, and a silly featurette with Miss Piggy trying to get onto the cast of Desperate Housewives. Overall, Desperate Housewives: The Complete Sixth Season - The All Mighty Edition delivers in spades and the series continues to provide strong entertainment. Fans shouldn't miss it.
