Before you read this, you should know that I am a Gleek, have been since the first episode! You might ask "What is a Gleek?" A Gleek is someone who loves the show Glee. So at the end of the last season of Glee, Quinn (Dianna Agron) had the baby during regionals. Rachel's (Lea Michele) real mom adopted Quinn's baby. Rachel and Finn (Cory Monteith) started dating, giving Rachel what she always wanted. Kurt's dad Burt (Mike O'Malley) and Finn's mom Carole (Romy Rosemont) are still dating. The group worked really hard, but still didn't win regionals, but at least they made it there and they made it through together.

This season of Glee starts with Rachel and Finn as a couple. At least Rachel is dressing better (and slimmed down), but she's still obnoxious as hell. Of course, their relationship isn't going to be easy. In an unexpected twist, Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.) and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) are dating. Artie (Kevin McHale) still isn't over Tina, but that's how high school goes. Artie's going to end up with a girlfriend though, and you'll be shocked who it is! He owes some of it to Puck's (Mark Salling) help. Quinn is no longer pregnant, so she's going to do her best to regain the top of the social pyramid! Santana (Naya Rivera) isn't happy about this as she was the queen bee, but she'll have to deal with it. Sue (Jane Lynch) and Will (Matthew Morrison) are still the biggest rivals ever. Now though, thanks to Ken (Patrick Gallagher) leaving after last season's disaster relationship with Emma (Jayma Mays), the school needs a new football coach. Principal Figgins (Igbal Theba) brings in Coach Beiste (Dot Jones), a woman. To pay her more, Higgins cuts both the Glee club and the Cheerios budget 10%! The Cheerios can afford it, but the Glee club really can't. Sue and Will decide to form an unholy alliance to get rid of Beiste. Honestly though, can you see Will playing the bad guy for long?

To make matters even worse for Glee, they lost a member due to him transferring schools, so they've got to find at least one new member to meet the minimum requirement of 12 total members. Finn finds a new guy to try and convince to join, Sam (Chord Overstreet). It takes a bit of work, but Sam is a good addition to the group. Sam has his own reasons for joining, but I think that's turning out rather well. Rachel also finds a wonderful singer in Sunshine (Charice Pempengco), but is she too good for Rachel to compete with?

You might be wondering about Will and Emma. Emma is dating a new guy now, Carl (John Stamos). John Stamos is still so hot, enough that all the high school girls want him, especially Santana. Will really doesn't like Carl since he took Emma away, but he can't help but to admit that Carl is good for Emma. Her compulsions are getting a lot better thanks to him working on them slowly. Is Will going to have to give up on Emma for good? Kurt (Chris Colfer) is really going to have a lot going on this year. He's still the only openly gay kid at the school, but there's at least one more that is very closeted. Mercedes (Amber Riley) is always going to be his best friend, but no matter how many friends he has now, he's still alone at the end of the day. Kurt is going to go to some extreme lengths to find somewhere that he belongs. But once he gets there, will it really feel like a home? His family life is going to have an upheaval as well, so really his life is just never calm, poor guy!

There were several themed episodes so far this year, including Britney Spears and The Rocky Horror Picture Show (renamed "The Rocky Horror Glee Show"). I'm not a huge fan of Britney Spears, but the Britney episode was awesome. Each of the Glee kids finds inspiration in the various aspects of Britney and Britney Spears was a guest star in the episode. Honestly though, the Glee Brittany is better than the real Britney I think, especially at dancing for sure. Brittany has become one of my favorite characters. She's done such a great job acting so stupid and she's an amazing dancer! Speaking of dancing, I've noticed that they're bringing in professional dancers now for quite a few of the numbers instead of just having the Glee kids do it (great to see some of the So You Think You Can Dance? dancers in there). The dance numbers are a lot bigger in Season Two than they were in Season One.

The DVD has quite a few special features. I really like the Glee Music Jukebox. Basically they just pulled out the musical numbers so if you're just wanting to watch those, they're all in one place on the disc. Each disc has a jukebox with the songs from the episodes on that disc. There's also the Making of the Rocky Horror Glee Show, which is highly amusing, along with a bonus song that wasn't in any episode from "Rocky Horror." My favorite feature is "The Wit of Brittany." It is comprised of clips of Brittany's most memorable statements, which is just absolutely hilarious! There are several more features as well, enough that even if you've seen the series, you should get the DVDs just for the features.

Glee is a really wonderful series. It's really hard to describe the overall effect that Glee has on people. It's one of those shows that you really just need to experience for yourself. I highly recommend that everyone go out and buy it today!
