Not too long ago, I reviewed the first half of the Big Time Rush episodes. Now I've gotten in the second half and can finally finish up the season. Granted, I had already seen most of them, but apparently I missed a couple on TV. Thanks to the new Big Time Rush: Season One, Volume Two, I now have the entire first season available to watch anytime I want! Kendall (Kendall Schmidt), James (James Maslow), Carlos (Carlos Pena), and Logan (Logan Henderson) are now on demand at my house.

In the first episode, the guys have to spend a day with a blogger named Deke (Matthew Moy) who can make or break the band. Of course, the guys just want to be themselves but Gustavo has a whole day of training set up to groom them with the "correct" answers. I love the groomers telling Carlos that "Violence is never the answer." Anyway, of course, Deke can tell they're acting fake and the guys' plan to fix that really makes things bad! Sliding down the air vents does look like a lot of fun, and apparently it is. While this is going on, Gustavo (Steven Kramer Glickman) has managed to upset all of Belgium and is under massive protests! I guess Big Time Rush isn't going to be selling many CDs in Belgium.

Then when Gustavo has to spend the night at the guys' house because his mansion is flooded, they hate it! He really does act like a big kid though, so he almost belongs there. Of course, when he falls asleep and starts snoring so loud that no one can sleep, the guys decide to go to the lobby, even with the rumors of a ghost. Gustavo decides that he likes living with the guys so much that he decides to stay much longer, totally ruining the guys' reputation and friendships. Now the guys have to get rid of a ghost and Gustavo both.

On the last day of school, the crew decide that they want a dance instead of what they have heard is the usual lame party, which means that they have to plan a dance in a single day. Gustavo says they can have it at the studio as long as they are the performers so that they will get some stage experience. Of course, now the guys have to find dates as well. There is even a guest appearance (and kidnapping of) by Fabio. Next, Jordin Sparks visits Palm Woods and Gustavo. Gustavo wants to keep the boys away from her since he says that they break everything they touch, that they are "Bad Luck Rush." Logan and Carlos decide that they need to be the "Good Luck Patrol" and protect Jordin. Can the guys convince Gustavo that they're not bad luck and that they can be useful?

Even though the guys promised each other they wouldn't let Hollywood change them, James has started to let Hollywood get to him when he's orange from tanning spray. Katie (Ciara Bravo) plans how to take over the town starting with a sno-cone stand. While the rest of the guys are trying to find James and fix his tanning addiction, the rest of them start to fall to the "Hollywood Madness" one at a time. Kendall is the only one not to lose his mind, so he's got to work with Gustavo and Kelly (Tanya Chisholm) to figure out how to bring the rest of the guys back to normal. When Camille hasn't booked a part in 6 months, she's got to move back home. Kelly tells the guys that they get to do a music video. The guys start telling all the girls that need a part to stay in Hollywood that they'll put them in the video, even though they have no control over it. I have to laugh at how they get rid of all the aspiring directors that have no girls in their videos and their visions of the videos. The video that they end up with for "The City is Ours" is really a lot of fun. I know that Big Time Rush is a far cry from my normal metal, but it's just such fun music that I really like it.

Finally, The Big Time Rush CD is ready and will be released as soon as their tour is announced. Before the tour though, they need to be trained on their stage presence. To do this, they're made to wear dog collars to practice, which is just hilarious. The rest of their training just really made me laugh as well! Of course, Katie is going to try and cash in on the guys' tour as well. When Griffin cancels everything though and the guys end up back in Minnesota, is everything all over? This is a special two-part episode.

There are a few special features available on the DVD as well. They're mostly very short, but quite amusing. That's really what you would expect when you've got a group of teenage guys hanging out and having fun! As I said, Big Time Rush isn't my normal musical taste, but I can't help but to enjoy the comedic genius and pure entertainment of the show. They still do an amazing job of being humorous without being cheesy or stupid. The episodes are completely family-friendly and entertaining for everyone. I personally have no kids to be watching it with, but I enjoy it anyway. If you're looking for something that your entire family can enjoy, check out Big Time Rush today!
