In Roadkill, Kate (Kacey Barnfield) has graduated college and moved to Dublin, Ireland for a job. Her ex, Ryan (Oliver James), organizes a reunion of their closest friends for a sightseeing trip of Ireland, just to get them all together one last time. The crew consists of Kate and her best friend Anita (Roisin Murphy), Kate's brother Joel (Colin Maher) and their friends Tommy (Kobna Holdbrook-Smith), Chuck (Diarmuid Noyes), Hailey (Eliza Bennett), and, of course, Ryan.

The first place they stop is a "Bric-a-Brac" shop. They have mostly junk there, but Anita buys a necklace that the owner Luca (Ned Dennehy) is wearing, after bargaining for a high price since he did not want to sell it. He switches the piece though and gives her another one instead. Chuck steals it off of his neck and they run away. While this is all going on, Kate runs into a gypsy woman, Nadia (Stella McCusker), who tells her that she must go, that she must leave. When they all come running out with the necklace that Chuck grabbed, they accidently run over the gypsy woman while leaving. If it's one thing I've learned from horror movies, you never mess with a gypsy! She isn't dead though and tells them that the simuroc will take vengeance on them all. Everyone knows that gypsy curses are binding and deadly.

They think they are getting away clear and free when they run into very heavy fog almost immediately. They are a bit lost though, or at least they aren't where they think they are, because they should have run into the next town already. When the fog clears, there is a small child in front of the RV who draws a finger across his neck like they're all going to die. Anita is scooped up first by this giant bird that comes out of nowhere and strikes without warning. Up close, it looks like a buzzard, but tan in color. Anyway, they decide that they'll just keep driving until they find a town, so naturally they blow a tire almost immediately after saying that. Tommy loses the rock-paper-scissors game, so he has to go out and change the tire. Personally, I think it would have gone a lot quicker if there was more than one person changing it, but he does at least manage to get the tire changed before he dies, so the rest can get out of there.

Unfortunately for them, the next house they find is also visited by the guy that wants his necklace back. Now they're being hunted by the simuroc and the local Irishmen. Is there any way that anyone from the crew will survive their mistake?

Roadkill is a SyFy Channel original movie that is part of the "Maneater" collection. Of the Maneater movies that I've seen so far, this is one of the better ones. The production quality and the acting are quite good. I can't really foresee many repeated viewings, but it's worth watching to see it once.
