The first movie presented by Cecil is "Wadzilla." Dr. Weems (Ray Wise) runs a clinic and is helping Miles (Adam Rifkin) with a low sperm count. He recommends Spermopreme, even though it hasn't been approved by the FDA. Miles takes the pills and the results are immediate, but not exactly what he wanted. Instead of increasing his sperm count, it makes the one sperm that he has grow to giant proportions any time that he is aroused. He has to immediately "relieve the pressure any time that happens." I'm not sure why it's so funny watching a grown man trying to catch a two foot long sperm, but I laughed the whole time! I've seen some pretty funny killer things over the years, but a giant sperm is definitely one of the funniest ever. General Bukkake(Eric Roberts) is in charge of the armed forces to take down the giant monster sperm.
Next up is "I Was a Teenage Werebear," Ricky (Sean Paul Lockhart) is trying to figure out what to do with his life. He's just not happy with the way things are going. When he and his girlfriend are about to be hit by a van, Ricky is saved by the gay werebear biker guys led by Talon. His girlfriend is hit as they didn't save her. She survives, but instead of taking her to the hospital he takes her to a gypsy, Nurse Maleva (Lin Shaye), who tells him that she's just a little brain damaged. Ricky doesn't really care though, as he has discovered that he's more interested in Talon than her. After Talon bites Ricky on the butt during a wrestling match, Ricky's life will never be the same again. This movie is very much Grease (with all the singing) meets The Lost Boys. There's a song called "Purge this Urge" that is just hilarious. Then there's "Love Bit Me On the Ass" that you can't help but to laugh at.
The third film is "The Diary of Anne Frankenstein." Fair warning, this movie is not in English, it is subtitled. It's supposedly German, but you can tell that they add in whatever words they want, like Bobba Fett. Anne Frank finds her grandfather's journal. Apparently her grandfather was Victor Frankstein and they shortened their name to Frank after his experiments. Unfortunately for the Frank family, Hitler finds them, kills them all and takes the journal, determined to continue Frankenstein's experiments. When you're trying to make a monster to kill your enemies, it would probably be wise not to use the body parts and brain of your enemies. As you can imagine, things don't go exactly like Hitler planned.
The fourth film is Deathication, which promises to "rape you with your own feces." Luckily, we don't have to watch that crappy (literally) film for very long. Zom-B-Movie is the final installment and it finishes up what's going on at the drive-in with Tobe (Corey Jones), Mayna (Kaili Thorne), Ryan (Brendan McCreary), and Desi (Laura Ortiz). Once you get done with the film, there are quite a few special features to watch. There's a Making-Of that's funny, a Behind the Scenes, and some deleted scenes that I found interesting, just to name a few. All of the special features just add to the hilarity of the movie.
I love that I have the Blu-ray version of Chillerama. The quality of the films is just so much better and it really shows in some areas. The sound is so realistic that my dogs started barking at the thunder in one of the films and you feel immersed in the movie. I really liked the movie within a movie concept. It was a neat way to present these hilarious B-movies that are throwbacks to previous eras and still have a present day zombie film as well. Chillerama is the most perverted, hilarious cheesy horror that I have ever seen. It spoofs so many different elements from other movies and does a great job with it. If you're looking for a funny horror movie or crave the B-movies of yesterday, you should definitely check out Chillerama today!
