Archer: The Complete Second Season once again brings together the most dysfunctional bunch of super-spies there ever was, and this season, they'll have even more craziness to deal with. For starters, Malory Sterling (Jessica Walters) is tightening the belts at ISIS with the ever-growing economic woes of the country. She is instituting paycuts all around (all the while calls from her furrier continue to come in) and she has taken a job that will have ISIS protecting a 16-year-old daughter of a wealthy German dignitary. While the team thinks this job is bullsh*t, their underaged client Anka takes a shine to Archer. Let's just say it can get pretty tough to protect a naked girl from trained kidnappers while barreling through the snow on a snowmobile.

There's a cool episode with some background on Woodhouse, Archer's personal butler, when it comes to light that someone may be murdering the surviving members of his WWI flying squadron. In another episode, Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) and Lana (Aisha Tyler) travel to the swamps of Louisiana to stop a crazed ecoterrorist from blowing an oil pipeline. Too bad the ecoterrorist is a former flame of Lana's!

Malory has her own woes this season as she has a brush with breast cancer, only to find out that it was a false alarm. This causes Archer to get tested to be on the safe side, and as it turns out, he does have breast cancer. Naturally, he uses it to get pity sex from Lana and when he beats cancer, he thinks he is invincible.

In yet another episode, Archer finds out he impregnated a hooker and that he is now a daddy to the "Wee Baby Seamus." Wee Baby Seamus then pops up from time to time in other episodes, despite the fact that Archer was tricked and he really isn't the father.

We get some more background on Cheryl (Judy Greer) when it is revealed that she is heir to a fortune and she thwarts a kidnap attempt on her by tricking the kidnappers into taking Pam (Amber Nash) instead. How much is poor Pam's life worth to Malory and ISIS? Let's hope she never finds out.

Finally, Archer goes on a search to icy Russia to discover once and for all whether his mother's longterm lover, Nikolai Jakov, is actually his father and he returns with a beautiful Russian spy-turned-defector, Katya Kasanova, as his fiancee. But is she a double agent or is she being framed by Jakov?

Archer: The Complete Second Season continues to bring the totally wrong laughs we enjoyed in the first season. There are lots of wacky adventures, some cool background on characters and plenty of raunch to be had. We get to see more of the characters of Dr. Krieger and Ray, and even get to see what became of Archersaurus in a featurette about his eventual downward spiral following his dismissal as the lead character. There's an amusing featurette called Ask Archer, which is great fun, plus one where Archer gives a shoutout to a member of the U.S. Army and one where he awakens from surgery to discover he now has the face of Nikolai Jakov's right hand man. Lastly, there's a great featurette on the cast members doing a roundtable at Comic Con and it's awesome to be able to see the men and women behind the voices.

If you enjoyed Archer: Season 1, you'll love Archer: Season 2. If you have a Blu-ray player, go Blu-ray over DVD because it looks so much prettier, but either way, it's can't-miss comedy gold.
