Returning to DVD is Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor (Tim Allen) and his family in Home Improvement, this time with Season 7. The boys are a year older, bringing with it many new problems for Tim & Jill (Patricia Richardson). Between Brad (Zachery Ty Bryan) contemplating marriage with his college-aged girlfriend and Randy (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) getting his driver's license, the Taylor's will definitely keep busy this year. The family also explores other more pressing issues with the kids when Brad gets caught with marijuana and Mark (Taran Smith) decides to express himself by going with Gothic dress wear, similar to his new dog-collar-wearing friend, Ronny.

Home Improvement: The Complete Seventh Season keeps the same hilarious formula that has made it a hit for the six seasons prior to this. Despite some of the heavy-hitting issues featured in Season 7, the humor constantly flows as Tim keeps searching for more power. The writing in this seventh season is top-notch, and will have you rolling on the floor with the on-screen antics.

Once again, Tool Time also returns, which means that Al (Richard Karn) continues to entertain with constant cracks back and forth between he and Tim, and the stunning Heidi (Debbe Dunning) helps beautify the show. Wilson (Earl Hindman) also returns to give neighborly advice from behind his fence, but the series also has him making his way from the fence and into many other positions of facial occlusion. Wilson's niece, Willow, also enters the picture for a few episodes after Jill convinces Wilson to take his niece in for a while.

Home Improvement: The Complete Seventh Season also features some guest stars that add to the humor. In once episode, Dan Aykroyd's priest character from Soul Man visits the set of Tool Time, as does Detroit Piston's star Grant Hill. Other sports-related humor enters into the picture when the PGA's late great Payne Stewart has a guest spot, and in another episode, the Taylor's are able to spend Thanksgiving at the Pontiac Silver Dome, which later has Tim managing to shut the lights out on the Lion's game and thousands of fans. Other guest stars include NASA astronauts Commander Kenneth D. Bowersox and Dr. Steven A. Hawley, as well as the two-appearance star, Tom Wopat (know from The Dukes of Hazzard). Tom Wopat's character, also known as the "Granite Guy," first appears at the YMCA hitting on Jill, then reappears to fix the Taylor's countertops and ends up flirting with Jill again.

Unfortunately, the DVD's video quality, even though it as been digitally mastered, isn't as nice-looking as many movies that you would buy today. The audio, on the other hand, is great, and every joke comes through with flying colors. Home Improvement: The Complete Seventh Season's only special feature is a blooper reel that is hilarious, but many of the bloopers have been previously seen at the end of many episodes. Home Improvement: The Complete Seventh Season is a great family television show, with many moments that will have you laughing out loud.
