Touched by an Angel: The Fourth Season, Volume 2 is a story for mankind that transcends generational and entertainment trends. It brings hope to the human tragedy through God's miraculous love as demonstrated by His three angels, all-knowing Tess (Della Reese), noviciate Monica (Roma Downey), teenage heart-throb Rafael (Alexis Cruz), and Andrew (John Dye), the Death Angel. These 1998 hour-long human dramas are portrayed in episodes covering adultery, murder, disease, loss of life and property, abuse, prejudice and hatred, but the angels assist in revealing that God's strength can bear the weight of suffering and forge through to forgiveness, trust, honesty, recovery, reparation, peace and love.

Touched by an Angel: The Fourth Season, Volume 2 transcends time because it demonstrates God's grace and wisdom and assists His people attain faith and peace as so often appears in the form of the signature white dove. Touched by an Angel follows in the tradition of Highway to Heaven and is family entertainment that gives a glimpse into human trials and offering healing solutions through Godly wisdom and mercy.

These stories are extremely well-written and acted and took my emotions on a rollercoaster ride from sorrow to joy. You'll find Polly Bergen (wife) and Lanie Kazan (lover) go head-on as they confront the bluntness of adultery. Jack Carter, Tom Postom and Jerry Stiller expose the sensitivity that lies beneath comedy as forgiveness is the only issue left to face before the death of a friend. In the final 2-hour episode, Bei Ling as a Chinese translator risks all to return to Beijing to find daughter, husband and friend who were separated during a coup of the Cultural Revolution.

Sometimes the content can be a little heavy, but it always ends in an uplifting manner. Personally, after seeing this series, I would rather we had more shows that would heal and instruct in personal situations, rather than all the crime shows that flood our television sets. I am anxiously looking forward to coming seasons because these shows take me out of my selfishness and expose me to the tribulations of our daily world. Touched by an Angel offers solutions for a hurting world, rather than displaying the reactions of a troubled society. I gave Touched by an Angel: Season Four, Volume 2 a rating of 99 -- only because I took 1 point off for Della Reese's (Tess) hair. ;)
