If you watched Season One of Jericho, I'm sure you're like me and so very glad that the fan petitions saved the show, even if it was for only 7 more episodes. Jericho: Season Two starts off right where the cliffhanger of Season One ended. Season Two starts out looking like it is the time of restoration. The new government that we saw at the end of Season One has stepped in and is helping to rebuild both Jericho and New Bern. With the loss of Johnston Green and quite a few other men and women, Jericho has a long way to go and New Bern has even further.

Even though everything looks great on the outside, well when you have to line up in the streets at night to get vaccinated against a deadly virus just so the new government doesn't know about it, things can't be all good. If the citizens of Jericho thought life was bad before, now things are even worse and there just doesn't seem to be much hope of even fighting back. How does a single town manage to take on an entire army? Even having men like Jake Green (Skeet Ulrich) leading the way and Robert Hawkins (Lennie James) providing extra sight with his spy satellites and knowledge of war, Jericho is still only a small town with very limited resources left.

Given the limited amount of episodes they had left to wrap things up, I thought they did an awesome job of finishing the series. The one thing I really missed was the interpersonal relationships that they developed so well in the first season. Some of the characters were just left out completely, some had only bit parts, but overall it just didn't have the wonderful character interactions that were so great in the first season.

Also included on the DVD are several special features that you really should watch! Among them are some deleted scenes and the complete alternate season ending. I'll go ahead and tell you that there aren't any noticeable changes until about 27 minutes into it, so there's no need to re-watch that first half over again. It's not really that different from the one that aired honestly, but it did leave the show more open to another season if it had been kept around.

While I don't think Jericho: Season Two is as strong as Jericho: Season One was, it is still an excellent show. If you haven't seen them, you should definitely go buy them today!
